Juanita Lucille Brand, former Wewoka resident departed this life in Branson, MO, Saturday, July 29, 2017 at age 88. She was born July 31, 1928 in Wewoka, OK to Roy L. Nelson and Jewel Love Lunsford.
Juanita was a 1946 graduate of Wewoka High School. She worked for Putnam City Elementary School as secretary for many years. On January 14, 1974 she married Frank D. Brand in El Reno, Oklahoma. Since his death she was living in Tulsa, OK. Her hobbies were gardening, cooking, reading her bible and singing praise songs. While living in Wewoka she attended the Assembly of God Church.
Preceding Juanita in death are her parents, husband Frank Brand, and one brother Leroy Nelson.
Survivors include daughter Charlotte Lanelle Curry of Tulsa, OK, son Gary Dean Page of Branson, MO; grandchildren Adam Curry, Adrienne Curry, Randall Page, and Ravon Curry; two great-grandchildren Logan and Lexie Page; one brother Virgil Nelson of Hobbs, New Mexico, and one sister Helen McClain of Jenks, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be 10:30 AM Friday, August 4, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery with her son Rev. Gary Page officiating.
