OBITUARY:

Sister Pheofrieda Angst O.S.F., 92, of the Sisters of St. Francis at Oldenburg, died early this morning in the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville.

Sister Pheofrieda was born March 16, 1893, in Seven Mile, Ohio, the daughter of German and Mary Ohlinger Angst. She entered the convent July 3, 1927, and took her final vows Jan. 6, 1933. She was a seamstress and sewing teacher, having taught sewing to high school students at the St. Mary's Academy in Indianapolis from 1936 to 1962, and also at St. Bernards High School and Our Lady of the Angels, both in Indianapolis. She also taught at the Immaculate Conception Academy at Oldenburg. In 1962 she retired to the convent, where she continued her work as a seamstress.

She is survived by one brother, Clarence Angst, of Hamilton, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The mass of Christian burial will be said at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, at the Sisters of St. Francis Motherhouse Chapel in Oldenburg, with the Rev. Curt Lanzrath officiating, and with burial in the Motherhouse Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Thursday at the Motherhouse Chapel. Weigel Funeral Home in handling arrangements.
