Daughter of Edwin Tarr and Augusta Young, wife of Franklin A. Adams, whom she married on May 30, 1882 in Manhattan, NY, and mother of George William Adams (married Norma Helen Swezey).

In 1860, Anna O. Tarr, aged 3, was living in Rockport, Essex, Massachusetts, in the home of her parents, Edwin Tarr, aged 27, and Augusta Tarr, aged 27. Living next door were Caleb Tarr, aged 53, a fisherman, Nancy Tarr, aged 48, and their children, Leafe A. Tarr, 13, Maria S. Tarr, 11, and Jerrett R. Tarr, aged 5.

In 1870, Anna L. Tarr, aged 12, was living in Rockport, Essex, Massachusetts, post office Gloucester, in the home of her parents, Edwin Tarr, aged 37, and Augusta Tarr, aged 35, with siblings, James E. Tarr, aged 9, and George W. Tarr, aged 7. Her father was shown to be a fisherman.

In 1880, Anna L. Tarr, aged 22, was living on Fourteenth Street, Brooklyn, NY, in the home of her parents, Edward Tarr, aged 47, and Augusta Tarr, aged 45, with siblings, James Tarr, aged 19, and George W. Tarr, aged 2. Her father was shown to be a foreman.

Marriage - Franklin A. Adams, son of Erastus Adams, married Annie Laurie Taw (Tarr), daughter of Edwin Taw (Tarr) and (not shown) Young on May 30, 1882 in Manhattan, NY.

On September 12, 1918, her son, George William Adams, aged 41, stated that he resided in Miller Place, NY; was born November 23, 1876; was employed as a woodcutter by Fred LaPage, in Miller Place, NY and gave the name of Anna L. Adams, of Patchogue, NY, as his nearest relative when he registered for the draft during World War I.

Obituary - Mrs. Annie L. Adams, aged 84, for the past 20 years a resident of Patchogue, died Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Conklin, 254 Oak Street, Patchogue, where she had made her home. She was a native of Rockport, Mass.

Mrs. Adams, widow of the late Frank Adams, leaves no relatives.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday in Ruland's Funeral chapel, North Ocean Avenue, Patchogue, the Rev. Hanington Wilson, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment was in Lake View Cemetery.

Burial Record - Anna L. Adams, of 254 Oak Street, Patchogue, NY, died at her home on May 1, 1942 at the age of 84 years, 6 months and 15 days of old age as certified by Dr. Barker. Her funeral was conducted in the Ruland Chapel and she was buried by Ruland Funeral Home on May 4, 1942 in Lake View Cemetery.
