Tennie married Marcellus A Wynne on May 29, 1874 in Wilson County, TN. Secondly, she married Cas C Avant in DeKalb County TN on January 15, 1879. The census showing the number of children they had is confusing. Cas had married before and had one child by his first wife. The 1880 census shows 2 daughters, Arah age 4 and Pearl age 1/12 born in April. Pearl was Tennie's child. Yet in 1900 census it said they had 4 children and 4 children living, and listed them as: Willie, Nannie, Mattie and Frank.
