Frank Lee Bailey, 79 of Springfield, passed away at home with his wife (Madelyn) near his side on July 23rd, 2017. He was born April 14th, 1938, in Fresno, California, to Edward and Bonnie Bailey.

As a plumber by trade, he was hired by Fasco Industries in Ozark, MO, to construct in the development and growth of the plant. He continued working in the maintenance department for 35 years. After retiring from Fasco, he was hired back to maintain the building six more years for other occupants.

Frank loved being with his family and friends. Frank was an avid outdoors man. He liked to fish, hunt and, sometimes, just go sit on the hill where he grew up in Rogersville. When he was indoors, Frank enjoyed watching Cardinals baseball and March Madness basketball. Frank loved going to the lake and being with his many friends. Known by all for his fish and "Bubba" fries. Frank also loved music and thoroughly enjoyed going each year to the Blue Grass and Gospel Festival at Silver Dollar City with his cousin John. Frank's lending hand to others was never-ending and his way of showing that he cared.

Frank is survived by his wife of 55 years, Madelyn Bailey; daughter, Lisa Bailey; son, Tim Bailey; all of Springfield, MO; grandson, Truman and wife Erin Bailey; great-grandson, Oliver Bailey, O'Fallon, MO; nephew, Max Bailey, Rogersville, MO; niece, Pat Collison, Springfield, MO; John (like a brother) Collison, Springfield, MO; and many other family members.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob (Loretta) and Hurshel (Vera); nephews, Eddie, Mike and Danny Bailey; nieces, Beverly Collison and Wanda Harris; great nieces, Michelle Bailey and Sheri Harris-Castaneda; great-nephew, Bobby Dean Bailey; and his sidekick "BUD".

A celebration of Frank's life will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, July 29, 2017, in High Street Baptist Church, 900 Eastgate Ave, Springfield, with visitation to follow the services till noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
