Alice M. Silfies, 82, of Plainfield Township, Pa., died Monday, May 10, 2004, in Easton Nursing Center. Born: April 18, 1922, in Plainfield Township, a daughter of the late Sidney and Alice Remaley Abel. Personal: She and her husband, William, were married 52 years last April. She was employed by the former V.J. Easton Book Bindery Co. as a book binder, retiring in 1980. Prior to that, she was a presser at the former Roseto Sportswear Co. Survivors: her husband; nieces and nephews.
