Herbert Eugene Hart was born in Marion, Linn county, Iowa , July 30, 1877 (sic), and died January 31 , 1912, at Sutherland, Iowa .

He leaves his wife, Bertha M. Willmott, to whom he was married Feb. 19, 1899 and two children, Ralph G. and Fay U., aged 6 years . His mother, sister and brother also mourn his sudden and early departure.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church, conducted by Pastor Lee, and the body was interred in the Waterman cemetery Feb . 1, 1912.

Mr. H.E. Hart, who was operated on for appendicitis a couple of weeks ago, died Tuesday night, at the home of Miss Fairley, where the Hart family have been living since Mr. Hart had to be brought to town from the country for treatment.

Investigation showed that the operation for appendicitis had been successful and the wound had entirely healed, but he died of heart failure, without warning, within, fifteen minutes after a test showed normal action of the organ.

The funeral occurs today at 10:30. Burial at Waterman cemetery.
