Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at a 3:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette for "Sally" Lelia Antoine, 89, who died on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.

Interment will be in St. John Cemetery.

The Very Rev. Chester C. Arceneaux, VF, Rector, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Kallie Colomb Miller and Ethan Antoine and the Giftbearers will be her children.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Antoine Colomb and her husband, Colby; two sons, David G. Antoine and his wife, Paula Delhomme Antoine and Mark J. Antoine; five grandchildren, Ashley, Anthony, Ethan J. and Isabelle Antoine and Kallie Colomb; two great grandchildren, Lilly Antoine and Layla Barrosse; and one sister-in-law, Ann Boustany.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years Antoine Joseph "A.J." Antoine; a son, Michael J. Antoine; one grandson, Jacob Antoine; her parents, Robert Bourg and Lelia Boudreaux Bourg and seven siblings.

Sally was a native of New Iberia and a resident of Lafayette for most of her life. She was previously employed by Hadocal, KLFY TV10, KPEL and Sun Oil Company.

Sally volunteered at the Cathedral Center and the Carmelite Monastery and was instrumental in the formation of the Cathedral Senior Social Committee. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and Ladies Altar Society.

Sally loved the casinos, had a generous spirit, never knew a stranger, loved cooking and her husband and family were of the utmost importance to her. She will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers will be David Antoine, Mark Antoine, Colby Colomb, Ethan Antoine, Anthony Antoine and Tye Miller.
