He was born on September 21, 1942, in Angola, IN to Charles William and Arnell June (Hollinger) Day.
David worked for Coachmen Industries and retired in 2009.
On June 26, 1965, he married Bonnie L. Emerick in Angola, IN. She survives in LaGrange.
David is also survived by his son and a daughter-in-law, David W. and Elisha Day, Jr. of LaGrange, a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Bill Cressey of Wolcottville, six grandchildren, Brian Cressey, Amanda Cressey, Ryan Day, Ethan Day, Caston Day and Kaylin Day, one great-grandchild, Kourtney Rupert and a brother, Larry Day of Angola.
Along with his parents, David was also preceded in death by a sister, Elita Day.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 2-5pm at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 West Michigan St, LaGrange.
A graveside service will take place at 11am on Monday, July 31st at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in rural LaGrange with the Pastor Rick Davis officiating.
