Georgia Rose Meyer, age 90, of Guston, KY passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017.
Rose was born June 21, 1927 in Ekron, KY to the late Stephen Tucker Sherlock and Ebbie Bell Haynes Sherlock.
Rose was a former member at New Highland Baptist Church where she was active in the Women’s Missionary Union for 40 years and was a leader in the Girls Auxiliary; was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church in McQuady, KY. Georgia also loved gardening, growing her flowers and reading.
Rose is survived by her husband of 70 years Titus S. Meyer; daughters, Joan M. (Owen) Montgomery of Acworth, GA, Brenda C. (Barry) Bruner of Hardinsburg, KY and Sandra K. Stull of Brandenburg, KY; son, Larry C. (Anna D.) Meyer of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Stephen and Randall Montgomery; Susan K. Moulton, Matthew D. Meyer, Annette R. Compton, Evette D. Goff, Rachel D. Flood, Michael W. Stull and Stephen A. Stull and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 12:30 P.M. EDT from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Highland Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 29 from 10:30 A.M. EDT till the time of the service.
