Lauri is my cousin whom I dearly miss! From her obituary...On Friday, February 15, 2008, God welcomed Lauri Fox into his heavenly home. An amazing person who lived life to the fullest for 37 years, she parts this world having touched so many lives as a friend, colleague, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and most importantly a truly loving and memorable daughter. To meet Lauri felt like getting a great big bear hug, and to be around her was like being at the best party going on in town. Her humor endeared her to so many, and it was her quick wit and intellect that people naturally gravitated towards. Lauri always knew the right thing to say during the high times and the low times - she was a friend, a mentor, a leader, a teammate, a counselor, a teacher, a shoulder to cry on, a "partner in crime", a practical jokester, a "wing man" - she was Lauri Fox - she was truly one of a kind. We all go through life not sure of what our individual purpose may be, but hoping at the end of the day our life meant something either for us or for someone else. The life of Lauri Fox indeed meant so much to so many. Each and every one of us who knew her, felt her impact -- felt her embrace - felt her love. Although she leaves this world now, our hearts will continue to hold onto the deep and special love and admiration we all had for this courageous, exceptional person. God, we ask you to take care of our Lauri and let her dance and sing in the heavenly skies like no one is watching. We love you Foxy!
