Services for Mr. Herbert Wilkie Davis, 69, of 6024 Henderson, Shreveport, will be at 11 a.m. Friday October 2 at the Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Rev. Bill Phillips, Pastor of Sunset Church of God, will officiate. Burial: Centuries Memorial Park.
He died Wed. September 30, 1981 at 2:20 p.m. at Schumpert Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mr. Davis, born in Huntsville, Tex. and a resident of Shreveport 35 years, was a retired Electrician and a member of the IBEW 194. He was Baptist.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Iris D. Davis, and sons, John Herbert Davis and James "Jimmy" Davis, of Shreveport; sisters, Mrs. T.G. Moseley of Beaumont, Tex. and Mrs. Wayne Mabry of Gulfport, Miss.; brothers, Otis Davis of Winnfield, La. and Martin Davis of Clinton, Miss.; five grandchildren.
