SHUMATE - Saturday at 12;05 p.m., February 9, 1952, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Ward Middleton, Antioch, TN, Mrs. Alice Sirls Shumate, age 63 years. Survived by husband P. O. Shumate Sr. and daughter Mrs. Ward Middleton, and son P. O. Shumate Jr.; sister, Mrs. Luther Crownover; three grandsons of Nashville. Remains are at Ellis & Kidd Funeral Home, 2627 Nolensville Road, where Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, February 11 by the Rev. Clarence Buffington assisted by the Rev. J. C. Wallace. The following please serve as Pallbearers: James Crownover, Leonard Crownover, John Haynie, Douglas Gwynn, Buford Shumate and Eldridge Shumate. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
