Mrs. Ford Dies At Georgetown
Conducted Millinery Shop in Old Opera House Building For Many Years.
Georgetown, Ill., Feb. 10.--(CNS)--Mrs. Charity Jane Ford, 72, died unexpectedly at her home about 7 o'clock Friday evening. She had been in failing health for several years.
She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Z. G. [sic] Roberts, born in Fairfield Jan. 6, 1862, and was married to Alexander Hamilton Ford, who died in 1908.
Surviving are a son, Zed, at home; three sisters, Mrs. O. A. Townes, of Reddick, Mrs. Edith Frazier, of Pound, Wis., and Ima, in El Paso, Tex.; two brothers, Dr. E. E. Roberts, of Mt. Erie and Arch Roberts, North Hollywood, Calif.
The body was taken to the Houghton funeral home to await the funeral hour. Arrangements have not been made pending word from relatives at a distance.
Mrs. Ford for many years conducted a millinery shop in her home in the old Ford opera house, a landmark here, which was remodeled several years ago.
