Austin, Vivian May (Allison), Vivian Austin slipped peacefully into eternity, in the morning hours of August 2, 2016, just twenty-five days before her 95th birthday.

She was born on August 27, 1921, to Claude and Loretta Allison, in Wayne, Michigan. Loving wife and mother to four boys, she survived the loss of her husband of forty-six years, Laurence H. Austin and her youngest son T. Gardner Austin. Sister Evelyn and brother Melvin preceded her in death, as well.

Surviving her are her three sons, a sister, a brother, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

Graduating Wayne High School class of 1939, Vivian worked in the defense industry in the early 1940s. She was a devoted homemaker and executive wife throughout the corporate years and several relocations. She loved to travel with the family, and on business with Larry. Music, theatre, bridge, golf and attending Sunday church services, were her favorite pastimes, when she wasn't involved in meetings with PEO, Newcomers, or volunteer work. She so cherished the friends she made, with all those pursuits.

Vivian willed her remains to science, at the University of Louisville, Kentucky. A memorial service will be held on Saturday 2pm September 10, 2016, at Walnut Street Baptist Church.
