Mr. Driskell was born in of Louisville, Ky. He retired from the city of Norfolk after 30 years. He was a member of Commodore Lodge 3 FOP, and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia L. Driskell; seven daughters, Catherine Wise, Teresa Wallace, Sharon Thoms, Angela Driskell and Penny Turner, all of Virginia Beach, and Robin Driskell and Amy Driskell, both of Norfolk; four sons, Wallace R. Driskell and Allan B. Driskell, both of Chesapeake, Barry L. Driskell of Lima, Ohio, and David M. Driskell of Norfolk; two sisters, Jewell Gregory of Franklin, Ky., and Dorothy Thomas of Indianapolis; a brother, James Bunch of Franklin; and 24 grandchildren.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Rosewood Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday.
