LOWELL - Dec. 23 - Mrs. Dorothy (Emerson) Kennedy, 42, former supervisor of the Somerville Public Library, a native and resident of Chelmsford most of her life, died at the Lowell General Hospital. Her home was at 34 North road, Chelmsford Center. Mrs. Kennedy served as supervisor of the Somerville Library for 14 years, until failing health forced her to retire in 1937. She graduated from Tufts College, class of 1922. She was an active member of the First Unitarian Church of Chelmsford for many years.
    Survivors include her husband, Gerald M., her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Emerson, and a sister, Mrs. Ralph [Ruth] A. Berg. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Morse Funeral Home, 170 Westford st. Burial will be in Forefathers Cemetery, Chelmsford.
