FALLS CHURCH, VA -

Gerald (Harry) Harrington passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 5, 2023 in Arlington, VA. He was a long-time resident of Falls Church, VA. Loving husband of the late Irene (Bradford) Harrington. He is survived by his daughter, Jerrie Harrington; and grandchildren, Nicole, Gabriella, Marielle, Faith, and Wolfgang of Woodland Hills, CA.

He is the brother of Carol Godwin of Rich Square, NC and Ben Harrington of Clemmons, NC. Along with his wife, Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Wheeler Harrington and Rebecca Johnson Harrington; and seven siblings; Joe Harrington, Agnes Harrington Jones, Russell Harrington, Bobby Harrington, Wade Harrington, Linda Harrington Johnson, and Mary Harrington Leggett.

Harry was a Master electrician, a member of Local 26 IBEW, working on many landmark commercial and notable residential structures throughout the DC area. Harry was a Golden Life Member at the Old Dominion Boat Club (ODBC) in Alexandria VA with over 50 years of service. At the ODBC he served in many roles including President, Governor and Chairman of the Waterfront Committee. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge, Chapter 1315, Bailey's Crossroads, VA and as a Korean War veteran, a member of the American Legion Bicentennial Post 1976 in Annandale, VA.

The family will be receiving friends at the Everly Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA, 22302 on Thursday August 10, 2023 from 6-8 p.m.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Hwy 258, Rich Square, NC.
