HALTOM CITY - Tommie Samuel Anderson Sr., a retired mail handler for the Texas & Pacific Railroad, died of an aneurysm Monday at a North Richland Hills Hospital. He was 84.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Southlake.

Burial will be in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Anderson was born in Madill, Okla.

He lived in Fort Worth before moving to Haltom City in 1964.He was a Baptist.

Mr. Anderson retired from the T&P Railroad in 1974.

Survivors: Wife of 56 years, Ardath L. Anderson of Haltom City; three daughters, Beverly Bradley of Southlake, Betty Gabbert of Fort Worth, Wanda Eastwood of Fort Worth; two sons, Tommy S. Anderson Jr. of Watauga, L.D. Holt of Haltom City; brother, Alb Anderson of Princeton; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
