Rachel Shea Leary, 80, of Wilmington passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice surrounded by her family.

Born December 1, 1936 in Fallston, NC she is a daughter of William Durham Bridges and Evelyn Beatrice Pearson Bridges. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James John Shea; her second husband, Robert Leary; and her brother, Billy Bridges.

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Caron and her husband Chris; her daughter, Donna Gonsalves and her husband Les; her son, Mike Shea; her grandchildren, Craig Yarboro, Jr., Patrick Yarboro, Jamie Shea, Caleb Caron, Colby Caron and Makayla Shea.

Rachel was a member of Long Leaf Baptist Church. Her family was her world. She will be remembered for her love to the Lord and her dear family.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Tueday, July 25, 2017 at Andrews Market Street Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 pm Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Wilmington National Cemetery
