Born November 21, 1932 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Carrie Travis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.
Ms. Sigmon was a member of Faith Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ in Brookford.
She is survived by her sister, Blanche Winstead of Brookford, NC; son, Fred Sigmon of Newton, NC; grandchildren: Holly MacMullen and husband Steve of Tampa, FL, Daniel Sigmon of Newton, NC; and two great-granddaughters: Melanie Sutherland and Sarah MacMullen, both of Tampa, FL.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Faith Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ with the Rev. Dr. Harry Griffin officiating.
