Curtis Burley Finch, age 91, of Detroit , AL passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at NMMC in Tupelo MS. Burley was born January 30, 1926 in Marion County to the late Mack and Clifford Finch. He was married to the love of his life, Ruby, for over 50 years. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Army Air Forces Unit, and a retired Detroit, Alabama postmaster. He was a deacon at Cooper Freewill Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school for many years. He loved God, family, his many friends, rabbit dancing and his horses. Visitation is Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 6- 9 p.m. at Marion County and the service will be Monday, July 24, 2017 at Marion County Funeral Home with Bro. Devin Henry officiating, Burial at Cooper Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Finch, parents, brother, Ellus Finch. He leaves to treasure his memory son, Edward Finch (wife, Joyce); grandson, Justin Finch; sister, Annette Lamb; special nieces and nephews, Teresa Norris (husband, Ricky), Dwight Lamb (wife, Renae), Brenda Rayburn, Wayne Finch (wife, Deb); and a host of friends.
