Adele M. Babiarz peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017.

Adele was born in Wilmington on February 13, 1922, daughter of the late Ludwig and Catherine (Feret) Babiarz. She was employed with the City of Wilmington, having retired after 20 years of service, and a longtime member of St. Matthew Parish.

In addition to her parents, Adele was predeceased by her siblings, Walter, Edward and Blanche Babiarz.

Adele is survived by her brother, Raymond S. Babiarz; her sister, Anne B. Dougherty (James); her nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends are invited to visit at St. Matthew Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington on Saturday, July 22 from 9:30-10:15AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM, followed by interment in Cathedral Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Adele may be made to St. Matthew Church, 1013 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE 19804.
