Gerald Darwin Anders, 67, Ravenden, Ark., and formerly of Venice, died March 31, 2001.

He was born Dec. 25, 1933, in Centerville, Iowa, and was a corrections officer facilitator of the L.I.F.E. program at the Sarasota County Sheriff's office. He had been an administrative dean of Rockland County Community College, Suffern, N.Y. He received a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey and a master's degree in psychology from Newark State College, now Kean University. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
