Joyce Anne Miller, age 82, originally from Ludlow Falls, Ohio, progressed on a Journey on November 22, 2020, after complications from dementia/Alzheimer’s. She was born February 11, 1938, to Theodore and Pauline Hagerman Hollingsworth, in Richmond, Indiana. She lived with foster parents, Charles and Mable Birkhead Miller, in Dayton, Ohio, from the time she was four. Joyce was a beautician at several different shops in Dayton, Ohio, during the 1970s. She later worked at a fishing resort located on Kelly's Island on Lake Erie from 1978 to 1983, where her husband enjoyed many hours fishing for walleye. They lived in Lake Wales, Florida, from 1992 to 2008, then settled in Derby, Kansas, until she peacefully died in her home.
She was preceded in death by: her biological and foster parents; her husband, Edward P. Miller, Sr.; a daughter, Debbie Kathleen Miller; and three brothers, Paul Hollingsworth Hamilton, Donnie Miller and Richard Miller. She is survived by: three children, Edward P. (Tonja) Miller, of Galloway, Ohio, Jena A. (Paul) Smith, of Dayton, Ohio, and Linda (Michael) Miller-Guebara, of Derby, Kansas; five grandchildren, Amanda Adler, Katie (Seth) Miller-Roth, Melissa (Stephen) Southerland, Tiphanie (Gabe) Madison and Jason Guebara; nine great-grandchildren, Abigale Schultz, Aiden Schultz, Jaxon Roth, Michael Southerland, Sarah Southerland, Samson Southerland, Gavin Oglesby, Emery Oglesby and Max Madison; and two siblings, James (Mary Lou) Hollingsworth, of Indiana, and Barbara Harris, of Arkansas.
Burial to take place at Dayton Memorial Park, in Dayton, Ohio.
