ABRAMOVICH –William G., 78, of Carrolltown, passed away April 20, 2017, at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana. Born July 13, 1938, in Greenwich, son of Andrew and Edna (Rice) Abramovich. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Helen Anderson; brother, Donald; and son-in-law, Herman Dansby. Survived by wife, Janet Lorraine (Rodkey); children, Wanda Dansby of Iowa Park, Texas; Mary Yeckley of Carrolltown; George Yeckley (Judy Conrad) of Northern Cambria; and Debbie Hunter of Alverda; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed for 23 years with Barnes and Tucker #24 Mine, Nicktown. A former member of local Moose, American Legion and VFW clubs and a former hunter. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Chris Massey.
