Marion Hutton Brickey, age 96 of Loudon, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017.

Mrs. Brickey was born Sept. 8, 1920 to the late Fred and Mary Etta (Johnson) Hutton in Knoxville.

She married Walter Brickey and together they enjoyed many adventures during his military career. Together they raised 3 children and she would go on to retire from Union Carbide/Viskase Corporation. She was a longtime member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she also served as a Sunday school teacher.

Mrs. Brickey enjoyed many things; traveling, playing cards, working puzzles, reading. The only thing she loved more was family time, it didn't matter what they did, as long as they did it together.

The family expresses their gratitude to their hospice "Earth Angels", Pat Hungate and Glynis Moore and to care giver, Haley Lovell for all acts of kindness.

Mrs. Brickey was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter, and a grandson, George Walter Brickey.

She is survived by her children and spouses, Tommy and Kathryn Brickey, Bluff City, TN, Jerry and Martha Brickey, Suzanne and Tim Guider, all of Loudon; grandchildren and spouses, Kathy Hardin, Johnson City, John and Heather Brickey, Colorado, Kimberly Brickey, Loudon, Daniel Brickey, Knoxville, Kristi Guider, Maryville, Timmy and Courtney Guider, Lenoir City; great grandchildren, J.T., Halie, John-Noah, Madyline and husband, Jacob, Grayson and Kaitlyn.

Services honoring and remembering Mrs. Marion Brickey will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 19th, McGill-Karnes Chapel with Rev. Brian Courtney and Rev. Carlton Harper officiating. Interment 11:00 AM Thursday in Loudon County Memorial Gardens.
