Oscar F. Stroede, 69, of 717 Powers St., died today at 7:40 a.m. at Mercy Hospital. He had been ill one week.
He was born in Oshkosh on May 22, 1896, son of Frank and Caroline Stroede, and married Edna Hedtke on September 6, 1920.
Mr. Stroede had been employed by Sunlite Dairy for 27 years, retiring in 1955. Surviving are his wife, Edna; one daughter, Mrs. Wilbert Hoppe, Oshkosh; one son, T Sgt. Oscar Stroede Jr., with the Air Force at Lockbourne Base, Columbus, Ohio; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Konrad Funeral Home, with the Rev. Erling W. Rabe, pastor of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 p.m. Tuesday until the hour of services.
