   Mr. J.J. Dale, 81, of Wadley passed away Saturday morning, July 15, 2017 at Jefferson County Hospital following an extended illness.
            Mr. Dale was born March 8, 1936 in Broxton, Georgia to the late Will Dale and Inez Evans Dale. He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Courtney Dale; grandson, Jamie Dale. Mr. Dale worked all his life in the Saw Mill Industry. He loved the outdoors, rabbit hunting, and raccoon hunting. Mr. Dale attended Southside Baptist Church.
            Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Dorthy Dale of Wadley; sons, James R. Dale (Marie) of Kite, Johnny Dale (Terri) of Louisville and Billy Dale (Merna) of Statesboro; daughters, Virginia Cartrett (Eric) of Sardis, Willie Dale of Wadley, and Jenny Mallard (Vic) of Girard; sister, Lavon Haskins of Jupiter, FL.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
            Funeral Services will be held at Southside Baptist Church 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017 with Reverend Earl Warnock officiating. Mr. Dale will lie in state one hour prior to service.
           Interment will follow in the Sardis Baptist Cemetery.
           The family will receive friends from 6 pm. to 8 pm. Monday, July 17, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home.
            Pallbearers are Tyler Dale, Caleb Mallard, Noah Mallard, Glynn Odom,Jr., Brandon Baker, and Bryan Dale.
