Jerome L. "Jerry" Moorman, 74, of Troy, died Sept. 4, 2010, at Fair Haven Nursing Home, Sidney.
He was born Oct. 12, 1935, in Coldwater, a son of the late John and Alvina (Schmalstig) Moorman. On Nov. 9, 1957, he married Evelyn Homan, and she survives him.
Jerry is also survived by four children, Randy Moorman, Sandra Moorman, Chris (Chris) Moorman and Tim (Julie) Sharp; two brothers and sisters-in-law, George ( Lois) Moorman and Donald Moorman (special friend, Jeanette); two sisters, Mary Jane Sherman and Patricia Moorman; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Jerry was a member of Sidney Moose Lodge and attended AA. He also attended Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sidney. Jerry was a retired insurance adjuster. He was also an avid golfer, loved the game, and also loved playing gin and other card games.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sidney. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.
