Martha Lucille Watson age 91, of Tazewell, VA passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at Tazewell Community Hospital. She was born January 30, 1926 in McDowell County, WV and was the daughter of the late John Samuel and Sarah Vandyke Wheeler. She was a member of the Yost Chapel Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Charlie, Jim Ed, Jack, Herman, and Robert Wheeler; several other infant brothers and sisters; one grandson, Scott Anthony Watson.
Martha is survived by two sons, Linc Watson and wife Rhonda of Belfast, VA, Gary Watson and wife Sharon of Hickory, NC; four daughters, Linda Shannon and husband Jim, Della Watson, Vivian Glover and husband Leslie all of Baptist Valley, VA, Katherine Powers and husband Randy of Paint Lick, VA; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. Sunday, July 16, at Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, VA. Funeral Services will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. Sunday. Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 17 at Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Those wishing to attend please meet at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, J.R. Watson, James Shannon, Blain Powers, Adam Powers, Jacob Reavis, and Matthew Shannon.
