Funeral services for Mrs. Hilka Ahlhorn, 90, were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan 28, at the Phillips and Luckey Chapel, the Rev. Fred Mgebroff officiating. Interment followed in the Giddings City Cemetery.
She died at her home near Nechanitz on Sunday, Jan 25, at the age of 90 years, 1 month, and 19 days.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1862, in Bastorp County, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kirchhof. At an early age she moved to Round Top and the rest of her life she made Fayette County her home, chiefly near Nechanitz after her marriage.
She was married to Friederich Ahlhorn on Nov. 10, 1879. Her husband preceded her in death in 1902. She never enjoyed the blessing of children.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Johanna Schott of Nechanitz, and Mrs. Bertha Siedel of San Antonio.
Pallbearers were Herman Schott, Ernest Schott, Floyd Schott, Erwin Seidek, Herbert Toll, and Herman Hempel.
