Thomas B. Alger, 70, of Middleboro, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. He was the husband of Valerie (Webster) Alger. Tom was born October 25, 1946, in Brockton, he was the son of the late Milton Alger and Anna (Barry) Alger. Raised in Brockton, he graduated from Brockton High School. He attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he learned to fly Helicopters. He served as a helicopter pilot in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Tom was a helicopter pilot who traveled all around the world. He is survived by his wife, Valerie (Webster) Alger; his brother, Rick Alger; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and brother and sisters-in-law. He was the brother of the late David Alger. Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rte. 28), West Bridgewater, on Sunday, July 16, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Private cremation and interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
