Mr. Casagrand, born in Orange, N.J., had lived in the Scotia area 23 years and was employed at the General Electric Co. in the steam turbine department for 16 years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Scotia, and a member of the Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Wanda M. Wassack Casagrand; two sons, Charles F. Jr. and William C. Casagrand, both of Scotia.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Church, Scotia, after a service at the Lasak Funeral Home, 176 Sacandaga Road, Scotia, at 9:30. Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. The funeral home will be open after 7 p.m. tomorrow.
