Mrs. Toyce Miller Davis, 70, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2007. She was born May 3, 1936, in Wilkes County to Ordan and Marado Nichols Miller. Mrs. Davis had retired from U.S. Air and was a longtime member of Woodland Baptist Church and later attended Pfafftown Baptist Church when her health permitted. Surviving are her husband, Bobby Davis,of the home; a daughter, Angie D. Josey, also of the home; a son, Chris Davis and wife Angie of Lowgap; four grandchildren, Jennifer J. Prince and husband Johnny, C. Shane Josey, Logan Allen and Crystal Davis; a great-grandson, Johnathan Tyler Prince; a brother, Athel Miller; and a sister, Joyce Chewning. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel by Dr. Craig Bowman. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5 at the funeral home. The Davis family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Rose Tara Plantation for their loving care of Mrs. Davis.
