YORK Richard O. Schroeder, 80, died Sunday, February 25, 2007, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Mary K. (Conaway) Renoll Schroeder. Services will be private. Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery in Spry. Mr. Schroeder was born June 18, 1926, in York, the youngest of four children of the late Otto and Katie M. (Ran) Schroeder. He had been employed as a Certified Heat Pump Technician with McCrory Stores. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the European Theater and the China Campaign. He was a life member of VFW Post 7374. Mr. Schroeder is survived, in addition to his wife, by a son, Richard J. Schroeder and his wife, Karen of Spring City; a daughter, Virginia Lee Schroeder of Virginia; and a grandson, Joseph Schroeder.
