WINDHAM - Edward A. "Ed" Hinkson, 56, died at his home on July 8, 2017.

He was born May 24, 1961, a son of George C. Hinkson and Carlene Alexander.

Ed grew up in Windham, graduating from Windham High School in the Class of 1979.

Ed was previously married to his former wife, Cheryl Hinkson, and together raised their family living in Westbrook, and Gorham, Maine and Dunstable, Mass. Together they co-owned Topsham Tool Rental, where Ed brought his beloved dog, Taffy to work with him every day. He previously worked as a meat cutter and at Lee's Family Trailer Sales and Service.

Ed will be remembered as a social man who liked to relax and have a good time with friends and family. He enjoyed working out at the gym, riding motorcycles, and going out with friends.

He is survived by his children, Joshua Hinkson and his wife Jessica of California, Devon Hinkson of New Hampshire, and Kyle Hinkson of Gorham; mother, Carlene Falkenberg and her husband, Ernie of South Carolina; grandchildren, Mila Williams and Gavin Hinkson; brothers, Carl Hinkson and his companion, Roberta Hall, and Robert Hinkson of South Carolina.

He was predeceased by his father, George C. Hinkson; and a grandson, Layden Hinkson.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 13, from 6-8pm at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham, ME 04062. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10am at the funeral chapel with burial to follow at Arlington Cemetery.
