RED LION Mr. Curvin E. Schmuck, Jr., 74, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of Mary L. (Cooper) Schmuck. They celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on December 6, 2006. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, in Red Lion. Funeral service will immediately follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Robert S. Edmundson officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mr. Schmuck was born January 30, 1933, in Windsor Township. He was the son of the late Curvin E., Sr. and Helen B. (Frey) Schmuck. Mr. Schmuck served as a laborer for the Laborers Union Local #1167 for over 20 years until his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed cutting wood for his friends and family, and collecting coins. One of his former hobbies included racing pigeons with the York County Club. In addition to his wife, Mary, Curvin leaves three children, Dennis E. Schmuck and companion, Cindy Weaver, both of Windsor, Kathy M. Krick and husband, Ronald of Brogue, and Dean A. Schmuck and fiance<6>, Brenda Patrick, both of Red Lion; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Kimmel of York. He was preceded in death by his son, David L. Schmuck; a grandson, Richard Heffner; one sister; and two brothers.
