A funeral service, celebrating the life of Wanda L. Blevins Maynard, age 83, of Hebron, will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kirkersville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Ralph Frasher officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkersville Cemetery.
Wanda was born in Blaine Trace, Kentucky on February 26, 1933 to the late Jetto C. and Rosa (Hicks) Blevins. She passed away peacefully at home and went to be with the Lord on September 4, 2016.
Wanda was a devoted homemaker to her loving family. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, singing and playing the guitar.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Henry F. Maynard, whom she married May 9, 1970; daughters, Deborah Brickey Ayers, Cathy (Ken) Brickey Morris and Lisa (Steven) Maynard Garrison; sons, Dwight (Annette) Brickey, Tim (Teresa) Maynard and Matthew Maynard; sister, Chloe Kitzmiller; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Wanda to the American Diabetes Association, 471 E Broad St # 1630, Columbus, OH 43215.
Friends may call at the funeral home, 285 E. Main Street, Kirkersville on Friday, September 9, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
