Alberta "Bertie" Marie McLemore, age 65, of Knoxville, has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ June 30, 2017. She was a member of the Church of God. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed reading, playing Scrabble, and doing crossword puzzles. Bertie cared for the elderly and disabled in many capacities over the last 30 years. She loved telling others about the Greatness of the Lord. She was preceded in death by son Anthony "Tony" Wayne McLemore; sister, Bessie Eulene Stiles; nephew Steve Atchley. She was joined in eternity by her sister Ethel (Jo) McLemore on that same day. She is survived by daughter Kari Muncey; grandchildren Coby, Devin, Brad and Brooklyn; great-grandson Owen McLemore; sisters Ruby (Bill) Swaney, Mary Roberts, Shirley (Walter) Passmore; brother James (Sandra) McHaffie; cherished friend Richard Gorman, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. The family will receive friends from 12:00p.m.-2:00p.m. Saturday July 8, 2017 Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with a celebration of life to follow at 2:00p.m. Pastor Larry Keith officiating. Family and friends will then proceed to Hansard Cemetery in Maynardville for interment.
