WATER VALLEY: Peggy M. Howell, age 78, of Water Valley died Monday, January 8, 2007, in Baptist Memorial Hospital—North Mississippi at Oxford.
Mrs. Howell was raised in Holly Springs. She was a loving mother and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Water Valley.
Funeral services will be held at ten o'clock in the morning Wednesday, January 10, 2007. The committal will be held in St. Peters Cemetery in Oxford at 11:30 a.m.., with Terry Warren, Greg Jones, Burney Howell, Mark Stewart, Joe Newman, and Jimmy Holloway serving as pallbearers. The members of the Grand Slam Bridge Club will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Howell is survived by: her husband, Hershel B. Howell of Water Valley; a daughter, Holly Kay Moore of Dwight, Illinois; four sons, Trent Lee Howell of Water Valley, Paul Byron Howell of Gulfport, Rex Dean Howell of Water Valley, and James Mark Howell of Anchorage, Alaska; fifteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Marcus McCall and Mrs. Kay Deare.
