BEEVILLE — Arthur Preston Vaughn, 85, of Beeville, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998.
He was born Sept. 24, 1912, in Ceasar in Bee County to the late Wallace Johnson and Mary Catherine Johnson Vaughn. He was retired from Continental Oil Company and served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.
Survivors: wife, Sarah Butler Vaughn, sister, Lydia Marrier of Moore, Okla.; and one grandchild.
Preceded in death by: daughter, Mary Girdler; and son, Eddie Vaughn.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Glenwood Cemetery, the Rev. Mac Robinson officiating. Galloway & Sons Funeral Home, Beeville, (361) 358-2512.
