Mrs. C. Carley Of Jefferson Street Dies
Mrs. Celia M. Carley, 73, of 101 Jefferson Street, widow of Chester Carley, died at 3:05 a.m. yesterday in Oil City Hospital. Mrs. Carley fell in her home last Monday and fractured a hip. She had been in the intensive care unit of the hospital since her admission. She was born September 16, 1892, in Oil City, a daughter of Patrick and Elizabeth Flynn Callahan. Mrs. Carley attended St. Joseph schools and was a member of St. Joseph Church and the Rosary Society, as well as the Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. She was married in 1915 to Chester Carley, who preceded her in death in 1926. Surviving are one son, Stanley Carley of Oil City; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. C. A. (Helen) McCain, Mrs. Catherine Feeney and Mrs. Genevieve Faller, all of Oil City; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call any time at Joseph Reinsel Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Requiem high mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church, with Rev. James Weber, pastor of the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
