Juanita Lavinia Roetto, 82, passed away Feb. 23, 2007 at her home in Nampa, Idaho. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday March 2 in the Nampa First Southern Baptist Church, 1311 E. Sherman Ave., Nampa. A viewing will be held Thursday, Mar. 1 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N. Midland Blvd. Nampa. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Juanita was born Aug. 3, 1924 in Leedey, Okla., the sixth of nine children of Joseph Albert and Ida Warden. She was raised in Oklahoma and later moved to Marshfield, Mo. where she met her husband Arthur Mitchel Roetto (A.M. Roetto). They moved to Idaho in 1947 where they raised their five children. She was a loving wife, mother and home maker. After her husbands passing she worked for the Nampa School District lunch programs and retired after 13 years. She was a charter member of the Nampa First Southern Baptist Church for 50 years. She taught Sunday School for 25 years and also served as financial secretary. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and two sisters and her son-in-law, Jim Kiester. Survivors include her sister Laveeda Bass and a brother Reese Warden both of Springfield, Mo; her children: JoAnn (Ed) Scriven of Prospect, Ore., Carolyn Kiester of Nampa, Jerry Roetto of Caldwell, Kenneth (Linda) Roetto of Nampa, Peggy (Lloyd) Thompson of Boise and 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grand-children and one great-great-grandchild. Memorials may be made to Nampa Fist Southern Baptist Church, 1311 E. Sherman Ave. Nampa or to Mercy Hospice, P.O. Box 1452 Nampa, ID 83653.
