Mrs. May Brubaker, 79, died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday, at the Wells Community Hospital, where she was admitted Thursday morning. She had been in failing health the last two years.

A lifelong resident of Rock Creek Township, Mrs. Brubaker was born May 22, 1894, to Francis and Delena (sic) Mauger Reber. Her marriage was to Otto J. Brubaker on Nov. 1, 1913, who died Feb. 14, 1959.

She was a member of the Loon Creek Church of the Brethren, a 60-year member of the former Browns Corner Rebekah Lodge and the Past Noble Grand Club and the Markle War Mothers Club.

Surviving are two sons, Donald, Washougal, Wash. and Burl, Rt. 6, three daughters, Mrs. Grace Anderson, Rt. 1, Mrs. Howard (Mary) Millard, Kokomo, and Mrs. James (Louise) Augspurger, Roanoke, 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a brother, William E. Reber, Rt. 5. Deceased are a daughter, Blanch, two grandchildren and a brother, Elzie Reber.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Friday at the Bailey Mortuary where Twilight services will be given by the Rebekah Lodge at 7:30 pm Saturday and where services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Harold E. Sonafrank officiating. Burial will be in the Star of Hope Cemetery.
