Hilda Elizabeth Aldrich, 93, Carmel, passed away on July 5, 2017. She was born on December 31, 1923 in Holton, Indiana, the daughter of the late John Jacob and Cordia Louise (Sporleader) Harrell.

Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward on April 28, 1977.

Hilda was a 1942 graduate of New Marion High School and attended Indiana Business College. From 1942-1956, she worked at Indiana Bell as an Executive Secretary in the Department of Traffic Engineers. As a young woman, Hilda volunteered with the USO. Lifetime hobbies included baking, reading and gardening.

Hilda is survived by her children, Susan Elizabeth (Mitchell) Steckler, Jenny Louise Aldrich, James Richard (Dana) Aldrich, and Kimberly Lynn (Shawn) Holland; seven grandchildren; and her sister, Leona Bennett.

She was preceded in passing by eight siblings.
