Curtis Raymond Baker, age 94, was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on August 22, 1922 and passed away in The Woodlands, Texas on June 28, 2017.

Mr. Baker retired as Vice President of Sales at National Zinc in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1986 after 32 years of service. He was employed by the Missouri Pacific Railroad as a Traffic Manager in Joplin, Missouri before joining National Zinc. Mr. Baker graduated from Drake University Law School with a Juris Doctorate and Drake University with a degree in Psychology. Prior to completing his education, Mr. Baker served in the U.S. Army Air Corp in India and Southeast Asia during World War II. He continued service in the U.S. Army Reserve and was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant in 1955.

Mr. Baker is survived by Marlys F. Baker, his spouse of 70 years, and daughter Kimberly K. Baker of the The Woodlands, Texas; daughter Susan Baker Sparger and son-in-law John Robert Sparger of Tomball, Texas; his sister Phyllis B. Hovland of Houston, Texas; nephew John C. Hovland of Webster City, Iowa; and nephew James B. Hovland and his spouse Karen Abercrombie of Houston, Texas.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents Curtis George Baker and Etta Mae Raymond Baker and his grandson Kyle Baker Sparger.

Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, 4200 Nowata Rd., Bartlesville, Oklahoma under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
