Charles was born at Carrington the son of M P and Addie Meng Ashworth. In 1908 he went to work for the C and A Railroad at Carrington and continued when the company was merged with the Gulf Mobile and Ohio. He retired in 1959 as general agent at Indianapolis Ind. On Feb 21 1909 at Cedar City he married Claudia Tranbarger. He wa a member of the Court Street Methodist Church Fulton, and was also a mason Lodge No 205 and a Shriner.
