Clarence Elbert Eldridge earned his angel wings at the young age of 86. He was born on March 24, 1931 in Crowville, Louisiana to Marvin Eldridge and Beatrice Hughes Eldridge. Clarence married Jacqueline Eldridge on July 29, 1950 and worked for over 40 years as a Deputy Sheriff for Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Clarence was as old school as they come, difficult at times and downright stubborn! He was a tough man that’s for sure. On the flip side, he did have a soft, warm heart that he kept hidden with a great sense of humor. Clarence will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Jacqueline Cotrone Eldridge; parents; and brother, Billy Eldridge.

Clarence is survived by his children, Clarence Eldridge Jr. and Sandra Poston (and husband, Spencer); grandchildren, Melissa Eldridge-Montoya, Dawn Gambrell, Kyle Eldridge (and wife, Karen) and Luke Elliot Eldridge; great-grandchildren, Carissa Chambers, Madison Gambrell, R.J. Montoya and Kellyn Eldridge; great-great-grandchildren, Kailee, Nathan and Damon; brothers, Jimmy Eldridge and Lawrence Eldridge; sister, Kathryn Eldridge Hunter; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Sterling-White Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 7, 2017 also at Sterling White Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
