Pauline Wichelmann, age 83 of Amery, Wisconsin died on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Amery Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 27, 1928 in St. Croix Falls, WI to Celia and Walter Carlson. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Garfield, and attended school in Wanderoos, WI. She was united in marriage to Edwin Wichelmann and together they started a family. She worked at Rivers Edge and Ichiban, a Japanese restaurant in St. Paul. In 1983 she returned home to Wisconsin to be with her family. Her interests were country music, dancing, canning tomatoes, puzzles, word circles, cards, her birds and her grandkids. Everyone that knew her called her grandma, and loved to listen to her stories. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, a sister, Mavis Gerrick, an infant brother and two granddaughters. Memorial services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery. A visitation will be held the hour before the service at the funeral home.
